The actual point...Ernst Mach on bodies and buckets
The actual point of Machian hypothesis is completely different (and as such misunderstood in the above article) - it just says, that the inertial effects are result of combined action of all massive objects inside of universe. Such a result can be tested in principle with comparing of inertia at the places, which are separated from another massive objects in various extent (for example, according to Mach inside of galaxy the inertia should be larger, than outside of it). In dense aether model it does work in exactly the opposite way, as some experiments indicated already - the cumulation of massive bodies actually weakens their inertia. The extreme case are the dense stars, where the gravity stops working completely, which does prohibit their further collapse into singularity.

Zephirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06010623752049244967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30708128.post-44899749472872263602010-03-03T13:42:26.874-08:002010-03-03T13:42:26.874-08:00Rather curious but incomplete two page account giv...Rather curious but incomplete two page account given by Zahid Zakir in gr-qc/9906079, which takes Nelson trajectories as a starting point to construct GR, claiming that "gravitation is inhomogeneous Nelson’s diffusion, i.e. a consequence of the quantum
fluctuations".

Gravitation as a Quantum DiffusionZephirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06010623752049244967noreply@blogger.com
